Do you have a craving for some international award-winning, American style wood smoked BBQ? No need for you to hop on a plane, just pop down to Warwick and get your meat fix at “Bluebird Kitchen and Smokehouse”. 

Set up in 2015 by locals Katie and Jim Osborn - who have become legends in the BBQ world - the restaurant is based inside an old servo building, so there’s plenty of outdoor seating to watch the world go by.

Inside, trophies, ribbons, and other awards adorn the walls, including 1st place international team and 9th overall at “American Royal 2022” (the largest barbecue contest in the world!). Clearly, the team at Bluebird know what they’re doing!

The menu is written on a blackboard at the front door and includes BBQ staples such as melt-in-the-mouth brisket, burnt ends, mojo pork, sausages, and chicken thighs. There are burgers and tacos on offer, and make sure you leave space for the great range of sides such as mash potato and gravy, or the bbq corn! There is a range of beers on tap and specially created cocktails to wash everything down with. 

“Bluebird Kitchen and Smokehouse” is open Tuesday to Saturday, 8am - 2pm for breakfast/lunch, and 5:30pm till late for dinner. Keep an eye on their Facebook page (link below) for their specials.
